Russells Hall Primary School offers a diverse music curriculum that includes singing, keyboard, ukulele, guitar, recorder, drum kit, and Bandlab lessons.
Children in Years 1 – 6 receive weekly whole class music lessons: Year 1 and 2 receive a rota of percussion, singing and keyboard lessons. Year 3 recorder, Year 4 ukulele, Year 5 guitar and Year 6 keyboard.
Students can work towards music awards by earning up to 5 music badges for keyboard, ukulele, recorder and guitar. These badges are awarded upon successful completion of various musical tasks, and follow the same colour sequence as other school badge awards.
The school's choir actively participates in various events, such as performing at Dudley Town Hall, music shows, and in the community. Additionally, the school has ensembles for ukulele, recorder, and guitar which perform at various events also.
